Stone cast Spiral Form - Ammonite and Fibonacci Fusion

Artwork based on one of the roundel panels from the Cross Slab at Hilton of Cadboll, Easter Ross, Scotland. 800 AD. This was my first knotwork project, It started with an ink drawing, then a three dimensional tile, cast and cut in stone. The layout pattern for this structure is a mathematically beautiful lotus petal form. One Continuous line, 12 outer loops and 6 inner, crossing in a central hexagon. Breathtaking.
